Burdang Lumban Festival reaches its 11th year

          Lumban, Laguna – The Municipality of Lumban celebrated 11th year of Burdang Lumban Festival last September 20 - 23, 2012.       
 
        Lumban, hailed as "Embroidery Capital of the Philippines" produces fine jusi cloths and piña cloths embroidered by hand. The finished product is called Barong Tagalog for males and Saya (Filipiñiana) for females.
 
        Employees and officials of the said municipality gathered at the Lumban town plaza wearing Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana. Some of the event highlights were Search for Ginoo at Binibining Lumban 2012, cooking contest, burda making competition and United Association of Lumban Entrepreneurs' showcase of readymade Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog.
 
        Present during the event were Mayor Wilfredo Paraiso who gave an opening remarks, Board Member Benjo Agarao who formally opened the even, and Vice Mayor Rolando Ubatay who gave his closing remarks.
